Beach playlist With summer approaching it is time for Mettle staffers to relax. It’s been an interesting few months and I’m excited for this being my last blog article for Mettle. Create your own magazine After months of work, the first and only issue of Mettle will hit stands today. Though the work was strenuous at times, overall the magazine looks great. Some students at the University of California-Berkeley recently created their own magazine, Bare, but they did so using a different approach. American innovation suffering during recession Many try to come up with the best new invention that will bring them riches and fame. In the past venture capitalists would give almost anyone with a good idea a chance to create an invention, but now that has all changed. Applications are down at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, creating a budget crisis at the office, The Associated Press reports.
